Breakfast at Tempfer Apartments
Make breakfast at your apartment. If you want to go sledding today, please ask Borut where / how to get sleds. He may even have two that he can lend you. You can also walk up to the Rifugio Zacchi and back down, if you don’t want to sled.
Depart for Lago di Fusine
In the morning, drive to beautiful Lago di Fusine. Hike 5.5 km up an access road to a mountain hut before sledding back down a thrilling 5-kilometer sledding hill. The hike takes around an hour surrounded by the dolomite peaks of the Julian Alps.
Lunch at Rifugio Zacchi
Enjoy lunch at Rifugio Zacchi, a mountain hut at Lago di Fusine, before sledding back down to the base of the mountain.
This afternoon, return to Rateče and spend the afternoon relaxing at your accommodations, exploring town, or on your skis, cruising the trails around Rateče and Planica -- or across the border into Italy!
