Ski in Pokljuka & stroll Lake Bled
Ski in Pokljuka at the World Cup Biathlon Stadium and stroll around Slovenia's picturesque Lake Bled.

Depart for Pokljuka
This morning, travel by private transfer to the Pokljuka ski area (~ one hour).

The Pokljuka venue is one of the most popular on the annual Biathlon World Cup calendar. Although the ~10 km network is relatively small, the trails are impeccably groomed and surrounded by views of the Julian Alps.

Grab a bite to eat for lunch at the trailside lodge in Pokljuka before continuing onto scenic Lake Bled.

Visit Lake Bled
After lunch, venture to Lake Bled, about a 30 minute drive. This jewel is a can't-miss stop when you visit Slovenia. Lake Bled, with its iconic island and bucolic church in the middle of the lake, is well worth the visit. We'll take a boat ride across Lake Bled to explore the island. On the island you can visit the 52m high free standing bell tower of the church.

If there is time, a flat walk around the lake or hike to a stunning overlook are other fun ways to discover Lake Bled.

There are several boat rental docks where you can rent a small row boat and row to the church on the island in the middle of the lake. If they are open, this is highly recommended today. There may also be an option to ride a larger boat with a tour group. You could try this as well. You’ll likely need cash for these activities.

Dinner in Lake Bled
For dinner, grab a bite on your own at one of several restaurants along the lake. Afterwards, travel back to your lodging in Rateče to settle in for the night, a journey of about 45 minutes.
