Sweden Vasaloppet trip
Participate in the Vasaloppet, the largest cross-country ski race in the world!
With hundreds of kilometers of trails surrounding the community of Mora in Sweden’s Dalarna region, you’ll be hard-pressed to choose a favorite after this nine-day trip. Ski through Sweden’s seemingly endless forests with your group as you explore nearby highlights, including Orsa Grönklitt, Norra Garberg and portions of the historic Vasaloppet race course. Following each day’s adventure, you’ll be treated to a fantastic meal at your hotel along with a visit to their in-house spa for a relaxing sauna or massage. Away from the trails, enjoy an afternoon dog sledding with your group as well as learning the history of the famous Dalarna horse – with the opportunity to handcraft one yourself.
The trip culminates with the chance to race the 90km Vasaloppet, with guaranteed entries available for those wishing to participate. Your trip leaders will provide ski waxing and logistical support so you can fully embrace the day’s excitement alongside thousands of fellow racers taking part in this historic event. Your hotel in Mora is just 100 meters from the finish line, allowing easy access for those wishing to spectate or visit the expansive Trade Fair during Vasaloppet’s Winter Week.
