Skiing Seiser Alm on Lumi’s Tour De Ski Trip
Tour De Ski is off to a great start!
Lumi’s first trip of the year is underway as skiers on the Tour De Ski trip explore the enchanting terrain of Italy’s Seiser Alm plateau. From the imposing Dolomite spires that stand unopposed around the valley below to the warm and welcoming hospitality of our local hosts, we’re forever drawn to this humble corner of the Alps. It’s been a wonderful start to the season and we’re looking forward to what’s to come!
Our Tour De Ski trip kicked off at its namesake event as guests cheered for their favorite athletes in the sprint events at Lago di Tesero. The action wrapped up with the grueling Alpe de Cermis hill climb as part of the 10km Mass Start. Watching Jesse Diggins glide her way to the Women’s overall victory was a special treat!

Apple Strudel Workshop
After skiing at Passo Lavazè, the group set its sights on learning the fine art of apple strudel making with the head chef of our hotel in Cavalese. The results were delicious! We always enjoy the chance to take home not only fantastic memories from the trails, but a new favorite recipe to make for family and friends back home.
Exploring Seiser Alm
The trip then shifted north to Seiser Alm, where 80+ km of trails await under the watchful gaze of the plateau’s famous dolomite peaks. Although snow has been slow to come to many areas of Europe this winter, we found excellent ski conditions here, a testament to the professional grooming that makes Seiser Alm such a skiers paradise. The high elevation – near 2000m – certainly helps ensure whatever precipitation falls is of the skiable variety.
With snacks and lunches at rustic trailside huts fueling the day’s adventures, the group immersed themselves in the plateau’s expansive scenery. From relaxing in the hotel’s wellness area after a long ski or watching the sun set across the rugged yet beautiful landscape, every day spent on Seiser Alm is worth savoring.
Seiser Alm's vast scenery never fails to disappoint
Our Tour De Ski trip is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be a great season. We’re looking forward to welcoming skiers to destinations across Europe throughout 2026!
