Planica Nordic Center & Kranjska Gora
After two big days of travel and World Cup spectating, take today a little slower and explore your immediate surroundings. Wake up and make breakfast in your apartment, followed by a ski from your accommodations up to the Planica Nordic Center, host of the 2023 Nordic World Champs. Visit the famous Planica Ski Flying museum and Slovenian ski museum. Perhaps you’ll head to Kranjska Gora for dinner in one of several restaurants.

Ski to the Planica Nordic Center
This morning, walk to the trail that will take you about 3 km uphill to the Planica Nordic Center -- Slovenia’s largest Nordic ski area. Planica, pronounced like “pizza with a plan," has a long ski jumping history, with one of the world’s largest ski flying hills. During the ski, visit the famous Planica Ski Flying stadium and Slovenian ski museum before skiing back to Rateče for the afternoon.
The Nordic Center has a small restaurant where you can have lunch, or you may want to walk or ski to the Tamar Hut for lunch. Please check with your host Borut for Tamar Hut’s opening hours and days.
Depart for Kranjska Gora
Head into Kranjska Gora for the afternoon / evening. The ride is about 10 minutes from Rateče.

This afternoon, explore the pedestrian streets in Kranjska Gora. Perhaps you will want to visit the Museum about Slovenian Culture, do some shopping, or simply stroll the streets to get to know the town.
