Lumi Experiences was founded by Minnesotan cross country ski Olympian Garrott Kuzzy.
Along with a fun-loving team of local trip leaders, Garrott shares his passion for skiing and travel with people who want to experience snowy villages, crackling fires, forest gnomes and warm apple strudel.

2027 Worldloppet Trips
As an official tour operator of the Worldloppet, an organization of cross country ski marathons around the world, the following trips include the opportunity to participate in a Worldloppet event, with the support of Lumi’s local, expert trip leaders.
DOLOMITENLAUF & MARCIALONGA
January 22 - February 1, 2027
Travel and ski in the alps on our Dolomitenlauf and Marcialonga trip. Participate in two Worldloppet ski events in Austria and Italy on consecutive weekends, with two days of skiing in Toblach in between. Trip includes a guaranteed entry in the Marcialonga.
MARCIALONGA &
KÖNIG LUDWIG LAUF
January 29 - February 8, 2027
Experience some of the best skiing in three countries, while you participate in the Marcialonga Worldloppet in Italy, explore the 200+ km of ski trails in Seefeld, Austria and finish the trip with a Bavarian beer after the König Ludwig Lauf Worldloppet event in Oberammergau, Germany.
Japan Sapporo
February 1 - February 8, 2027
Hokkaido, Japan’s northern island, is renown for its deep powder and mountainous terrain. Explore the region’s trails and expansive downhill resorts before participating in the Sapporo Ski Marathon. Stay in the city of Sapporo at the peak of their annual snow festival for a taste of Japan’s culture, cuisine and a relaxing onsen - a traditional Japanese bath.
France TRANSJURASSIENNE
February 8 - 15, 2027
The Jura Mountains form the border between France and Switzerland. The region is renown for more than Comte cheese and Jura wine. In winter, the snow covered hills turn into a paradise for cruising on cross country skis.
finlandia & Tartu
February 19 - March 1, 2027
180+ km of skiing, Finnish saunas and the Finlandia ski marathon await in Lahti. Take a scenic ferry across the Baltic Sea to travel to the medieval city of Tartu, , home to Estonia’s Olympic Museum. Ski the Tartu Worldloppet and discover Estonia’s ski culture. Book-end your trip with an optional stay in each country’s coastal capital city: Tallinn and Helsinki.
Sweden Vasaloppet
February 28 - March 8, 2027
Explore enchanting cross-country ski trails with Lumi in the heart of Sweden’s Dalarna region, home to the legendary Vasaloppet. Your base for the week is the cozy lakeside town of Mora, where countless trails begin right outside your door. Enjoy daily skiing excursions before returning to your hotel for a delicious local meal and a soothing sauna at your in-house spa.

March 8 - 15, 2027
Combine two of Europe's legendary ski destinations: Seefeld, Austria and the Engadin Valley in Switzerland. Discover the 200+ km of trails in Seefeld. Participate in the Engadin Ski Marathon, one of the original Worldloppet events.
NORWAY: OSLO & NORWEGIAN BIRKEBEINER
March 15 - 22, 2027
Head to the birthplace of skiing for a week in Oslo and Lillehammer. Explore the famed Holmenkollen, discover the seemingly endless trails around Sjusjøen and stroll down the cobbled Storgata in Lillehammer. Finish your week with the opportunity to ski the Norwegian Birkebeiner Worldloppet ski event.
ICELAND & FOSSAVATN
April 12 - 19, 2027
Travel to Iceland to explore the land of fire and ice — on ski and by foot. From Reykjavik, journey through Iceland’s rugged countryside to the dramatic Westfjords region. Marvel at waterfalls and volcanic craters, see fjords and perhaps even the Northern Lights. In the small town of Ísafjörður, ski Iceland’s longest running and most popular ski marathon, the Fossavatn!

TOUR DE SKI WORLD CUP

Travel to Italy to cheer on your favorite racers in the Tour de Ski’s infamous Alpe de Cermis hill climb and Classic Sprints. Away from the races, discover two of the best trail networks in Italy: Passo Lavazé and Seiser Alm. Scenic mountain vistas, top-notch grooming and delicious trailside cuisine make these two high-elevation ski areas ideal destinations. When you are not out skiing, savor meals in your hotels known for their dining and wellness areas.
Falun World Championships

Cheer on your favorite athletes at the 2027 FIS World Championships in Falun, Sweden. Enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the legendary Lugnet Arena and watch racers ski up the steep Mördarbacken climb. Explore Sweden’s expansive trail networks at your own pace from your centrally-located lodging in Mora, located just a few blocks from the finish line of the Vasaloppet.
NorwaY - Holmenkollen World Cup Weekend
March 12 - 15, 2027
Experience one of Norway’s biggest celebrations of the year: the Holmenkollen Ski Festival. Start your trip in the Nordmarka region to stay on the Holmenkollen plateau overlooking Oslo. Cheer on your favorite racers at the legendary World Cup and ski Norway’s 1200+ km trail network from your hotel. This weekend trip dovetails with Lumi’s Norway-Birken trip for more skiing in Lillehammer, site of the iconic 1994 Olympic Games and the skiers paradise of Sjusjøen.

Discover some of the best ski trails in the Alps on this group trip to sunny Seefeld & Seiser Alm! Norway Sight-Skiing

Head to the birthplace of skiing for a week of exploration and discovery. Norway’s largest trail network of 1200+ km awaits you overlooking the capital city of Oslo from the famed Holmenkollen venue in the Nordmarka region. Afterwards, head north to Lillehammer, site of the iconic 1994 Olympic Games and the skiers paradise of Sjusjøen.

Slovenia Sight Skiing

Ski and explore the Julian Alps, close to where Italy, Austria and Slovenia meet. In addition to cross-country skiing from the door of your hotel, try lift-serve sledding — a favorite local activity.
