Highlights from Happy Moms & their Grown-up Kids
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we’re taking a moment to appreciate the unique bond between parents and their adult children—especially the shared connection that happens on a ski trip. In the midst of busy careers, scattered locations, and packed calendars, quality time is often limited to a quick meal or a rushed holiday visit. That’s why we’ve been so thrilled to see more and more Lumi travelers choosing to carve out a full week to ski, relax, and reconnect with family.
For many parents, it’s a rare treat to hit the trails again with the now-grown kids they once bundled into ski boots years ago. With every detail of the trip organized—from routes and transfers to meals and lodging—neither mom nor kids need to think about planning or logistics. No one has to cook, no one has to Google train schedules, and no one has to be “in charge.” Instead, families get to unwind together—whether it’s over a morning cappuccino before heading out the dorr or a glass of wine at the hotel bar in the evening.
If you’d like to take a trip with parent(s) or kid(s) this winter, reach out by Father’s Day (Sunday, June 15) to reserve your spot on any 2026 Lumi trip that still has availability and save $300 / person! We’re always happy to share the detailed trip itinerary or help answer any questions too.
With Mother’s Day this Sunday, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of these fun memories from this past winter and before:

- Gretl

“Seeing the amazing geological wonders of Iceland, The total experience at Isafjordur. The race - sharing a perfect ski race with precious family members and with new friends.”
- Bobbie
Amy & Matteo
Traveled together on the 2025 Trondheim World Championship Trip
“All 3 of us were thrilled to be there to witness the World Championship races in person. So exciting! To experience the Norwegian culture and the atmosphere of the Norwegian World Championships was amazing. Skiing at the different ski centres was lovely and the biathlon was very fun to try. Because we happened to be hanging around waiting to see if we could go to the US wax truck, we happened to be at the right place at the exact right time - as my absolute highlight was meeting Lucas Chanavat.”
- Amy
Francie & Katie
Traveled together on the 2024 Seefeld & Seiser Alm trip
“Overall one of my biggest highlights was getting to go on this trip with my mom. She had never traveled to Europe and it was fun to see her experience all of these different things for the first time. I got to see her push herself outside of her comfort zone and really embrace the area around her. I feel incredibly lucky that we were able to go on this trip with Lumi together as not only mother and daughter but as friends and create these everlasting memories and connect in a way that we otherwise would not have been able to.” - Katie
