What’s on tap for 2027?
An exciting new addition stands out: Lumi’s first trips to the Vasaloppet in Sweden! One of our most requested trips is now reality. We’re thrilled to finally introduce guests to the Vasaloppet and Falun World Championships, the combination of which promises to make Sweden the go-to place to cross-country ski in 2027. Rounding out Lumi’s new 2027 offerings is the opportunity to ski in Japan and participate in the Sapporo Ski Marathon.
Other popular favorites are back, like: the Dolomitenlauf & Marcialonga, Marcialonga & König Ludwig Lauf and Finlandia & Tartu (each with two Worldloppet events), plus trips to other Worldloppets like France’s Transju’, Switzerland’s Engadin and Iceland’s Fossavatn.

Swedish Pride: The Vasaloppet & Falun World Championships
Lumi is proud to offer three different trips to Sweden in 2027, two with the chance to participate in the Vasaloppet, the largest cross-country ski race in the world. Entry into this perennially sold-out event is guaranteed!
The dedicated Vasaloppet trip, from February 28 - March 8, 2027, spends nine days exploring Sweden’s Dalarna region. Your lodging in Mora is located about 300m from the finish line of the Vasaloppet, placing you right in the heart of the festivities. After spending the week soaking up Sweden’s trails, cap off the Vasaloppet’s Winter Week with the legendary 90km classic event, surrounded by tens of thousands of fellow participants and spectators.
Lumi also is offering two trips to the 2027 World Championships in Falun, Sweden, which takes place in the run-up to the Vasaloppet. Choose from either February 22 - March 1 and March 1 - 8. Cheer on racers as they glide around Lugnet Arena and up the steep Mördarbacken climb. When you’re not cheering on the course, head off to explore the Dalarna region’s trails at your own pace. The second week trip also overlaps with the Vasaloppet, giving you the rare opportunity to spectate a World Championship and participate in a Worldloppet event on one trip.
Dolomitenlauf Looking East to Sapporo, Japan
Spend a week exploring Japan’s north island of Hokkaido on Lumi’s first trip to Asia! Enjoy Japan’s unique cuisine (including the chance to make your own sushi), participate in the Sapporo Ski Marathon and take a dip in a relaxing onsen, a traditional Japanese bath. A highlight of this trip is the Sapporo Snow Festival which takes place during your visit. Enjoy hundreds of intricately carved ice and snow sculptures that fill Sapporo’s Odori Park, some the size of buildings. Running from February 1 - 8, 2027, this trip has long been on the wishlist of many Lumi guests.

Lumi’s most popular trip explores the rich culture and trails across the Austrian and Italian Alps from January 22 - February 1, 2027. From enjoying lunch in a trailside hut in the beautiful Passo Lavaze to trying out lift-service sledding or a relaxing spa after a long day on the trails, you’ll quickly discover why this trip sells out within a few weeks each year. Bookend your adventure with two Worldloppet events on one trip: the Dolomitenlauf upon your arrival and the Marcialonga before you depart. As on all Lumi trips, let our trip leaders wax your skis so you can enjoy these special events to the fullest.
The Combined Marcialonga & König Ludwig Lauf Trip is Back!
Lumi is happy to announce that this popular trip will return from January 29 - February 8, 2027. Spend 11 days across Italy, Austria and Germany, where each nation’s diverse cuisine competes with their respective ski trails for your attention. Participate in the Marcialonga and its vintage counterpart, the Marcialonga Story, or save your energy for the König Ludwig Lauf – or complete both Worldloppet races on back-to-back weekends.
Two Worldloppets in One: Finland & Estonia
Looking for two more Worldloppet stamps on a single trip? Lumi’s trip to Finland & Estonia from February 19 - March 1, 2027 showcases two cross-country skiing hotspots on either side of the Baltic Sea. Kick off your trip with several days of skiing in Lahti, Finland, where 180+ km of trails await – along with a traditional lakeside Finnish sauna to relax your body and mind. Participate in the Finlandia Hiihto before continuing your trip in Tartu, Estonia. Here you’ll find well-preserved medieval architecture, abundant fine dining and a deep appreciation for winter sports – including the headquarters of the Worldloppet and Estonia’s Olympic Museum. Wrap up your trip with the Tartu Ski Marathon before returning to the historic city of Tallinn, where we recommend sticking around to discover more of this under-the-radar destination.
Sight-Skiing at Your Own Pace
Savor the trails and scenery without the excitement of a big event on one of Lumi’s sight-skiing trips. Whether you’re interested in skiing on Norway’s 1,200+ km of trails from February 14 - 20, 2027 or exploring the Julian Alps in Slovenia (two dates, February 21 - 27 or February 28 - March 6, 2027), you’ll soon find out why these destinations are often considered hidden gems. Lumi’s trip to Seefeld & Seiser Alm (two dates, January 3 - 10 or January 17 - 24, 2027), on the other hand, needs no introduction. A unique apres ski culture, delicious meals and spectacular scenery combine to ensure your trip is as memorable as any without the hustle and bustle of the race day atmosphere.
