From 7:30 AM - Breakfast at Hotel Christiania
On the weekdays breakfast opens from 7:30 AM to 11.30 AM. The breakfast room is located on the second floor of your hotel.
9:30 am - Exploring Oslo
After breakfast, you will explore Oslo together with your Trip Leader on a guided sightseeing tour. You can confirm on Friday evening what time you'd like to start your walking sightseeing tour on Saturday. Gunnulf will be ready to meet the group in the hotel lobby at 9:30 am. If you prefer a later start, please let Gunnulf know on Friday night. From the bustling Karl Johans Gate to the scenic waterfront with the Oslo Opera House, the Munch Museum, and the historic Akershus Fortress, your Trip Leader will introduce you to the city’s highlights and share local insights along the way. There is plenty to discover—indoors and outdoors—no matter the weather.

4:30 PM - Sauna in the Oslo Fjord
Arrive back at your hotel after the walking tour with time to relax in your room briefly, before continuing your afternoon at the Sauna "Salt," a floating sauna on the Oslo Fjord. The sauna is booked for your group from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Your trip leader Gunnulf will help share what to wear and walk you from your hotel to the sauna, a stroll of about 20 minutes from your hotel.
Evening
Dinner is on your own tonight. A reservation for 7:00 pm is made for your group at Hotel Christiania’s Restaurant Teatro, an upscale pizza restaurant that’s part of the hotel property.
Restaurant Teatro recommends their “all-you’d-like-to-eat” pizza option for 295 NOK / person (~ 30 USD). This way, you can sample different pizzas and share them with the group. The restaurant only allows payment with up to 2 credit cards, so the group would have to split the bill internally.
If you prefer to dine elsewhere, there are many great restaurants near your hotel. If you’d like to dine elsewher, please let Gunnulf know by Friday night, so he can cancel the reservation at your hotel restaurant. Here are some other recommendations for inspiration:
