Travel and ski in the alps on the 2023 Planica Nordic World Championships Trip. Cheer on your favorite athletes and get out skiing for yourself too! Travel between Slovenia and Italy, a border that was practically closed until the early 1990s. Inspired by the popular point-to-point VISMA Ski Classics Marathons, this year’s World Championships marathon will run point-to-point, from Tarvisio, Italy across the border to finish at the stadium in Planica, Slovenia — the first time a World Champs event has every gone through two countries!

Stay in our favorite hotel on the Italian side of the border. When you are not out skiing or cheering, go sledding at Lago di Fusine, stroll around Slovenia's iconic Lake Bled, take a tour of the World War I front with your hotel's expert historian and dine at some of our favorite mountain huts. An alpine ski day at Monte Lussari is also an option and highly recommended. Throughout the week, enjoy the support and insights from your local trip leaders.
