7:30 AM Breakfast at Hotel Urthaler opens
Breakfast is available at your hotel from 7:30 - 11:00 AM every morning.
10:00 AM - Enjoy the day’s skiing
Today, you have all day to explore the plateau at your leisure. We recommend taking the Panorama lift and starting your ski up high, where the trails offer great views of the iconic Schlern Dolomite formation.
Recommended trail for today:
After taking the "Panorama" lift up, get on Trail 8, which eventually will merge into Trail 9. Following this to the end will get you back to Trail 8 and the lift where you started your ski. You can either take the lift back down or continue on this trail downhill towards Hotel Ritsch. The trail runs clockwise, but there are several opportunities to cut off sections if you’d like to shorten the loop. From Hotel Ritsch, trail 1 offers a nice and easy downhill back to Compatsch and the hotel.

Lunch Recommendations:
Hotel Panorama (2009 m), located on top of the plateau, offers sit-down style with wait service. It’s lunch restaurant is more casual than the website lets on and is a comfortable spot to stop for a bite or drink.
Laurin Hütte - trailside hut at the start of trail 9 offers a relatively simple hot kitchen with a variety of Italian and Austrian, or better categorized as “South Tyrolean” comfort dishes with stunning views.
Spitzbuhl Hütte - trailside hut at the far point on trail 9 is very similar to the Laurin Hut, with a simple hot kitchen and South Tyrolean comfort fare. It is also a popular place for paragliders to take off. You may see some of these high flyers as you dine on the sun deck.
Back at the hotel
You may want to relax in the hotel’s wellness area after a day on the ski trails. Alternatively, the sun sets around 5:00 PM and illuminates the surrounding dolomite spires with a magical glow - the perfect backdrop for raising a glass to yet another great day of skiing in one of the local cafés or bars.
