A TYPICAL DAY

This is your vacation. We hope that you can enjoy it at your leisure. We are here to support you along the way.

A typical day always starts with a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Your trip leaders will share an overview of the following day most evenings. This is when you can let us know if you prefer to classic or skate ski the next day. In the morning, more detailed recommendations for trails and stops will be provided and your skis will be prepared and ready for you, usually waiting in your hotel’s ski room. Your trip leaders will also have snack baskets for you to fill your pockets before heading out and the leaders often carry extra treats with them on the trail too.

Each day, you are free to ski at your leisure. Your hotels are all within walking distance of the ski trails. Your trip leaders will be on the trail, if you choose to ski with them on their recommended routes. You are also welcome to ski on your own. Most of the trails where you will ski have huts where you can stop for a warm lunch along the way.

Your hotels typically have a sauna and wellness area. If you would like to book a massage or treatment during your stay, you can book that with the hotel directly. Our hotels typically recommend booking at least 72 hours in advance. The hotel contact information will be in the detailed itinerary you receive about a month before your trip. Your trip leaders can also help facilitate these reservations.

Each of your hotels is also within walking distance of town, so you may also choose to explore your surroundings on your own. If you would like to do other activities outside our planned itinerary, please let your trip leaders know. They can also help facilitate other experiences, such as alpine skiing, during your trip.

Some days include activities beyond skiing and meals. All of the activities are optional, though we highly encourage joining for the non-skiing activities as well.

Dinners typically start between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM at your hotel, with several options for meals. As most ski hotels in the Europe host guests for a week at a time, it is common to rotate the menu so that guests have new choices nightly. Restaurant options in the towns where you are staying outside of hotels are limited. If you choose to try other restaurants during the trip, your trip leaders are happy to share recommendations.

If you have food allergies, dining preferences or other details you would like to share with us, you can let us know in the pre-trip survey or send us an email: info@lumiexperiences.com. Drinks or other charges at the hotel are not included in the trip cost. They can simply be charged to your room and paid for at checkout.

Lunches during the trip are typically on your own. Your trip leaders will have recommendations for you daily.

When moving between hotels, a coach bus will be transporting the group and luggage. More detailed information about each day can be found in the itinerary.
