Day 4 - Travel to the Engadin Valley in Switzerland

7:30 AM - Breakfast and Hotel St Peter
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.

9:00 AM - Checkout and departure
We say so long to the St Peter, Seefeld and Austria this morning, as we travel by coach bus into Switzerland.

12:00 Noon - Arrive in the Engadin Valley
Our bus will bring us to the Muottas Muragl funicular for a trip to the top of the mountian overlooking the Engadin valley. On a clear day, there is perhaps no better place to orient yourself with the region.
The restaurant atop the mountain offers several options for lunch.
After lunch, you may want to kick back in the sun chairs or explore their igloo before sledding back to the valley. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Endadin, the Muottas Muragl prepared a scenic 3km ski trail on top of the mountain, which you may choose to ski as well. Afterwards, we will sled back to the valley on Rodels--traditional alpine sleds.
Our hotel is a short 5 km ski from the Muottas Muragl station along the Engadin ski trail. You may choose to get in a few more kilometers today or simply ski to our hotel.

5:00 PM - Dinner at Hotel Donatz
Our hotel is preparing an early dinner for us before we take the train to St Moritz stroll through town and watch the night sprints. If you prefer a more relaxed dinner time, you can also stay at the hotel and enjoy a later dinner.

7:00 PM - Night Sprints in St Moritz
As part of the race week festivities, the Engadin offers Night Sprints for elite skiers. The festive atmosphere under the lights makes for an entertaining evening. Return to our hotel by train after the races, a short 10 minute ride from St Moritz.

Day 3 - Skiing and Eisstockschiessen in Seefeld

7:30 AM - Breakfast at Hotel St Peter opens
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure

9:30 AM - Head out Skiing
Today, we head to the nearby Leutasch Valley by bus. The Leutasch features easy, flat trails meandering through the wide valley. Another option is to ski from Leutasch to Seefeld, approximately 20 km over rolling terrain.
You may choose to stop along the way for lunch at one of several trailside huts in Leutasch or en route back to Seefeld.
Another option for today is to alpine ski at the Rosshütte ski area, within walking distance of our hotel in Seefeld.

4:00 PM - Eisstockschiessen
Austria's winter sport of champions, Eisstockschiessen is similar to curling and played outdoors with a warm Glühwein (mulled wine). Depending on ice conditions and weather, we may go Eisstockschiessen at 10:00 AM and ski in the afternoon.

7:00 PM - Dinner at Hotel St Peter
Enjoy our last dinner at the Hotel St Peter.

Day 2 - Skiing in Seefeld

7:30 AM - Breakfast at Hotel St Peter opens
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.

9:30 AM - Head out skiing
Walk from the door of our hotel across the street and onto the 200+ km trail network in Seefeld. Check out the stadium and trails that will be used for the 2019 World Championships next winter.
Our ski today takes us around the Brunchkopf mountain on a loop of around 20 km. Around lunch time, we arrive at the Wildmoos Alm--affectionately known as the Wild Moose. A little rough around the edges, this Alm is filled with enough sports paraphalalia and animal mounts to compete with most bars in northern Wisconsin. The schnapps fountain and apple strudel tray are something unique to the Wild Moose--perfect for refueling mid-ski.

Relax in Seefeld
Return to Seefeld in time to kick back and relax. Perhaps a nap is in order to recover from jet lag or the Vasaloppet.
